1938–1941).

Living of thirst is a reflection out on loss and
defeat, decisions and paths, memory, resistance, on hope. A look at Spain, at
its history and present day.
The verses of the poem “In this field was the
sea”, by the poet from Orihuela, guide us through an audiovisual narration
situated in a symbolic space, associated witho the author's childhood and
charged with universal echoes.
Living of thirst pays tribute to the poet Miguel
Hernandez on the hundredth anniversary of his birth, and is a joint work by the
writers José María Gómez Valero and David Eloy Rodríguez and the video artist
María Cerón.

Aquí el poema de Miguel Hernández:
En este campo
estuvo el mar.
Alguna vez volverá.
Si alguna vez una gota
roza este campo, este campo
siente el recuerdo del mar.
Alguna vez volverá.
In this
field
was the
sea.
It will
come back someday.
If from
time to time a drop
brushes
this field, this field
feels a
memory of the sea.
It will
come back someday.

Y este es otro poema de M. H. que aparece en el videopoema, también del libro "Cancionero y romancero de ausencias", 1938–1941):
La libertad es algo
que sólo en tus entrañas
bate como el relámpago.
Freedom is
something
that beats
solely in your entrails
like a
flash of lightning.
